The OL Guild is located at 201 4th Street in West Des Moines, IA 50265 right around the corner and down the street from our main gallery space. Aside from a standard of quality, OL Guild installations differ from what you would see at Olson-Larsen Galleries. In offering artists a non-traditional space to create an experiential installation, OL Guild allows work to exist in a space that’s not about selling or presenting in the customary gallery sense. We look forward to seeing how each artist transforms the space in order to communicate their vision.
Exhibition Use Guidelines
The display space has heat in the winter and air conditioning for summer installations. A ladder is provided, but the artist is responsible for all other installation and tear down materials and assistance needed. The interior white door can be covered but needs to remain accessible as Olson-Larsen framing equipment and inventory is stored in the garage area beyond that door. The green bin outside the front door is for recycling only. Dumpsters are located behind the Community Center in the parking lot across 4th street, west of the Guild.

OL Guild Floorplan
The OL Guild space resembles a perfect 150" x 150" box with a ceiling to floor height of 128". The entirety of the space within and outside it's walls are available for any artist's installation.

The additional area not found on this floor plan is primarily utilized for OL Gallery Frame Shop services only. We do schedule time for installing artists to use this space if needed. Please contact our gallery director, Alyss Vernon to schedule time for this space.
